The General weather of Kasol is on the colder side. Even in the summer months the night are cold and comfortable. Most of the year there are occasional rains that further cools down the hot days.
Here is a rough and general idea of how the weather is through out the year :
(1) Weather in November, December, January and February ( Winters in Kasol )
These months are the coldest and the temperature can range anywhere from 10 Degree Celsius to 0 Degree Celsius. The chances of snow are during the months of December and January.
It is advisable to carry multiple layers of clothing, gloves and head cap. Also to note that the sun is scarce in winters and this can further enhance the feeling of cold.
My personal experience guides me to suggest you that travel in winter months if you are a cold enthusiast and comfortable with the idea of feeling cold.

(2) Weather in March and April. ( Spring in Kasol )
Spring in Kasol, Parvati Valley is one of the most beautiful time to travel. The blooming energy can be intoxicating. These months are slightly cold and slightly warm. There is usually occasional bouts of rain in every 3-4 days. Such days are relatively colder than others. The nights are always cold.
It is a good idea to carry clothes suitable for both hot days and cold days.
(3) Weather in May, June and July. ( Summers in Kasol )
Summers in Kasol are warm in the day and cold in the night. The sun can be a little too harsh sometimes. Though for the more active kinds, the ones who like their days to be longer, summers are the best. One can Go for morning walks, Go for day hikes and excursions, yet come back to enjoy a bonfire and sit for a few hours before it is night. The occasional rains in-between can make the days cold as well.
Summers are also the months of butterflies and bees buzzing around the flowers. It is a good idea to mostly carry loose comfortable summer clothes as that can make the experience of hiking/trekking better.

July is still a better time to travel, the rains are relatively less. With alot of sunny days in-between. The rains and sun can make the atmosphere feel warm and humid. Still July has it's own charm with the army of butterflies and towering sunflowers. August is the month of heavy rains. Highly advisable to check the condition of roads before travelling. Also august is not a good month for trekking/hiking. Though August can be a relatively cheaper month to travel.
(5) Weather in September and October ( Autumns in Kasol )
Autumns in Kasol are one of the most beautiful times throughout the year. The evergreen forest combined with the falling leaves add to the palette of the surrounding. The greens, browns, thinner mountains revealing the black stones and golden grass makes for one of the most beautiful moments in Parvati valley.
The weather is cold and it is highly advisable to carry layers of cloth.

There are only two ways to reach kasol. One is by the road and other is by Air.
How to reach Kasol by road?
Delhi to kasol by road : 483 KM of distance and that can be covered in 10 to 12 hours. One can come from private transport, cabs or Volvo buses. Delhi has a regular function of Semi Sleeper Volvo buses running from RK Ashram Marg, Majnu ka Tilla and Kashmiri Gate. Most of the buses function between 06:30 PM to 09:30 PM. It usually takes 12 hours to cover the journey.
Chandigarh to Kasol : 252 KM of distance that can be covered in 6 to 8 hours. One can come from private vehicle, readily available cabs or Volvo Buses. The bus coming from Delhi stops between Ambala Zirakpur Highway and picks up travellers from a designated spot. Most of the buses runs late in the night and It takes upto 8 hours to cover the journey.
Other states of India : Until and unless one is coming by private vehicle. the process to reach Kasol will be to reach either Delhi or Chandigarh by flight or train. Then one can opt for connecting flight to Kullu - Manali - Airport, rented cars / bikes, cabs or volvo buses.
How to reach Kasol by Air or Flight?
It is possible to fly to Kullu- Manali - Airport in small commercially run chartered planes. The airport is located in Bhuntar town which is connected to the Parvati Valley road by a bridge. Cabs are readily available outside the airport. It is a good point to note that flights are not reliable as wind speed can vary drastically in Mountains.
Note : Most preferred and reliable way to Travel to kasol is by road. Note : There is no direct railway service to Kasol, Parvati Valley.
